Indiana Jones 4

Without a doubt in my mind, I am one of the biggest Indiana Jones fans you will ever meet. I have all four movies, the Young Adventures of Indiana Jones television series, the first three screen plays, and an original movie poster print from "Raiders of the Lost Ark." It's more than understandable that when "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" came to theaters in May 2008, I was not going to let the moment pass.

In the story's plot, we rejoin famed archaeologist/adventurer Dr. Henry "Indiana" Jones as he is called back into action when he becomes entangled in a Soviet plot. Along with some old and new friends, Jones uncovers the secret behind mysterious artifacts known as the Crystal Skulls.

For the entire day I worked in concessions as Indy. During theater checks for the film, instead of the usual red-coned flash lights we normally use, I would carry an old lantern with me as I made my way down the isle. The costume was something I had actually been assembling from scratch for years. The fedora and jacket are both official Indiana Jones wear from Disney's MGM Studios in Orlando. The shirt and satchel are from some of my father's old military gear he still had. the whip was one I bought from Tombstone, Arizona during a cross country trip. Many of the older patrons were more impressed with this promotion.

FUN FACT: In the summer of 2007, I was the first volunteer extra chosen from the audience in one of the showings of the "Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular" in Orlando. I made this experience happen by showing up at the theme park that day in a bright yellow polo, holding a giant lime-green "Pick Me!" sign, while screaming at the top of my lungs! It was an incredibly fun opportunity and it was possible by literally doing what I always do, standing out above the crowd.
